In Loving Memory of William “Bill” Morrow

Family, friends, and the Graceville community are mourning the loss of William “Bill” Morrow, who passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from complications following surgery. He was 62.

Born on October 7, 1963, Bill was the beloved son of Jeannette Morrow and the late John M. Morrow. A lifelong resident with deep roots in the Graceville, Florida, area, he graduated from Graceville High School as a member of the Class of 1981 before beginning a life defined by hard work, dedication, and devotion to his family.

Bill shared a loving marriage with his wife, Sandra Hunter Morrow, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and community. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend whose steady presence and generous heart touched the lives of many.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his son, Wesley Dalton Morrow; his mother, Jeannette Morrow; his sister, Anna Morrow Thomas; his stepchildren, Jessica Pugh and Austin Deacon; and his cherished grandchildren, Emma Pugh, Lily Pugh, Ethan Pugh, Hailey Deacon, and James Deacon, all of Newnan, Georgia. He also leaves behind his special cousin, George “Skip” Taylor of Navarre, Florida, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, John M. Morrow, and his grandparents, George and Mary Frances Morrow of Graceville, Florida, and Dewey and Berta B. Peel of Louisville, Alabama.

From an early age, Bill developed a passion for trucks that remained with him throughout his life. What began as a childhood fascination grew into a lifelong career in the trucking industry. He took great pride in his work and was employed by Johnston Trucking of Brundidge, Alabama, where he was respected for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. Those who worked alongside him knew him as someone who approached every job with professionalism and integrity.

Beyond his career, Bill’s faith played an important role in his life. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Graceville, where he found fellowship, encouragement, and opportunities to serve alongside his church family. His quiet faith and caring nature reflected the values he carried throughout his life.

Those who knew Bill remember him as a kind and dependable man who treasured time with his family and friends. Whether spending time with loved ones, sharing stories, or simply enjoying life’s everyday moments, he had a way of making those around him feel valued. His love for his family and his unwavering commitment to those he cared about will remain one of the defining aspects of his legacy.

As family and friends gather to celebrate Bill’s life, they do so with gratitude for the years they shared with him and the many memories that will continue to bring comfort in the days ahead. Though his passing leaves an irreplaceable void, his legacy of love, faith, hard work, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Graceville, with Dr. Naethan Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow at Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Graceville under the direction of James & Lipford Funeral Home.

Visitation for family and friends will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at James & Lipford Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Graceville, P.O. Box 565, Graceville, FL 32440, in Bill’s memory.

William “Bill” Morrow will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, his enduring faith, and the kindness he shared throughout his life. His memory will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know him, and he will be deeply missed by all.
