PITTSBURGH — An 18-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday night in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood, and police are actively searching for the suspect.
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, officers from Zone 5 responded to Wilner Drive at around 9:50 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
Police say preliminary information indicates an argument broke out outside when gunfire erupted. The victim was struck in the abdomen. Responding officers immediately began providing first aid to the victim. Despite their efforts, the 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 10 p.m.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner has identified the victim as Tristan Taylor.
Pittsburgh Police Homicide detectives responded to the scene and have assumed control of the investigation. Detectives are continuing to search for the suspect, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
