In Loving Memory
With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we gather to remember and honor the lives of Harper Harmon, 13; Hudson Harmon, 11; Gavin Harmon, 10; and Gracelynn Harmon, 10, along with their mother, Sarah Myers, and grandmother, Amy Steadman.
The loss of these beloved family members has brought unimaginable sorrow to their loved ones, friends, and the Mechanicville, New York community. A family’s bond is one of life’s greatest treasures, and the sudden absence of six cherished lives leaves behind a grief that words cannot fully capture.
Today, we pause to honor their memories and recognize the importance of the lives they lived. Each person remembered here was someone’s loved one, someone’s source of joy, and someone who held a special place in the hearts of family and friends.
Harper, Hudson, Gavin, and Gracelynn represented the promise, curiosity, and hope found in every child. Their lives, though far too short, were meaningful and precious. They were surrounded by love, family, and the everyday moments that make life special. The memories created with them—the smiles, conversations, laughter, and milestones—will remain treasured forever by those who loved them.
Sarah Myers will be remembered as a mother whose life was deeply connected to her children and family. The love shared within a family creates a legacy that continues even after loss. Her memory will live on through the stories told, the moments remembered, and the love carried forward by those who knew her.
Amy Steadman’s life was also a part of that family story—a grandmother whose presence represented generations of love, connection, and shared memories. Her impact will continue through the family and community members whose lives she touched.
The pain of losing an entire family in such a heartbreaking way is difficult to comprehend. During this time of grief, may those mourning find comfort in coming together, supporting one another, and holding tightly to the memories that remain. The love shared with these six souls is something that cannot be erased.
The Mechanicville community now carries the weight of this loss. In moments of tragedy, communities often show their greatest strength through compassion, kindness, and support. Every act of care, every shared memory, and every gesture of comfort becomes a reminder that no one has to grieve alone.
Though their time with us was far too brief, the lives of Harper, Hudson, Gavin, Gracelynn, Sarah, and Amy mattered. Their memories will continue through the people who loved them, the stories that are shared, and the lasting impact they left behind.
As we remember them, may we choose to honor their lives with compassion and love. May their family, friends, and all who are grieving find strength during this painful time and peace in the memories they hold close.
Forever loved.
Forever remembered.
Forever missed.
May they all rest in eternal peace.
