His sudden passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family, friends, colleagues, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
For more than four decades, Mr. Haug faithfully served St. Dominic with unwavering dedication, shaping countless lives through his passion for education, athletics, and mentorship. He was more than a teacher and coach—he was a role model who inspired generations of students to strive for excellence, work hard, and treat others with kindness and respect. His encouragement extended beyond the classroom and the track, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met.
As the longtime Cross Country and Track coach, Mr. Haug helped young athletes grow in confidence, discipline, and perseverance. His remarkable contributions to the school’s athletic program were recognized with the naming of the St. Dominic track in his honor, a fitting tribute to a man whose legacy will forever remain part of the school’s history.
Above all, Joe will be remembered for his generosity, humility, and genuine care for others. His life was one of service, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his students and community.
