IN LOVING MEMORY OF “CAP FOLLY” — GONE TOO SOON, NEVER FORGOTTEN

🙏🏽🕊️ With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we remember a young man affectionately known as “Cap Folly,” a 23-year-old whose life was tragically cut short following a shooting near 66th Street and Loomis Boulevard in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood. His passing has brought heartbreak to those who knew him, cared about him, and hoped to see him continue growing, achieving his goals, and making more memories with the people closest to him.

At just 23 years old, Cap Folly had so much life ahead of him. There were still opportunities to explore, dreams to pursue, and moments he deserved to experience. His story is a painful reminder of how precious life is and how deeply a sudden loss can affect the people left behind. 💔😔

According to reports, Chicago police officers responded at approximately 5:45 p.m. after receiving calls about a male who had been shot near an alley in the Englewood area. When officers arrived, they found the 23-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the University of Chicago Hospital, where he was sadly pronounced deceased.

The news of his passing has left a painful silence where there should have been more opportunities, more laughter, and more time. Behind the nickname “Cap Folly” was a young man whose life held meaning and whose absence will be felt by the people who knew him personally.

Losing someone at such a young age is never easy to understand. Twenty-three is an age when many people are still figuring out their paths, building their futures, and working toward the lives they imagine for themselves. There should have been more birthdays to celebrate, more milestones to reach, and more memories to create.

For Cap Folly’s family and friends, the days ahead may bring difficult emotions and countless questions. The pain of losing someone unexpectedly can be overwhelming, especially when the loss comes before loved ones have had the chance to prepare themselves for goodbye. We hope those closest to him can find comfort in one another and strength in the memories they will continue to carry.

To everyone who knew Cap Folly, may the moments you shared with him remain close to your heart. May the conversations, the laughter, the experiences, and the memories you created together bring comfort during this heartbreaking time. Even when someone is no longer physically present, the impact they made on others can remain a lasting part of their lives.

His passing is also a painful loss for the Englewood community. Every young life lost leaves behind people who must learn to live with an absence they never expected. Families deserve peace, friends deserve the chance to grow older together, and young people deserve the opportunity to pursue their futures without their lives being cut short by tragedy.

As the community mourns, may this be a time to remember the value of every life and to offer compassion to those experiencing grief. Sometimes, a simple message of support, a listening ear, or a quiet prayer can mean more than words could ever express.

🕊️ REST IN PEACE, CAP FOLLY. 🕊️

You were only 23 years old, and your time here was far too short. Though your life ended in a heartbreaking tragedy, may your memory continue to live in the hearts of those who knew you and those who will never forget you.

May your loved ones find strength when the grief feels unbearable, comfort when the silence becomes difficult, and peace in the memories that remain. May everyone affected by this loss receive the love and support they need to make it through the days ahead.

Gone too soon, remembered with love, and never forgotten. 💔🕊️🙏🏽

Fly high, Cap Folly. May you rest peacefully. 🕊️🕊️

🙏🏽 Please keep his family, friends, and everyone mourning his passing in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

🕊️ 23 YEARS WAS TOO SOON. YOUR MEMORY WILL LIVE ON. 💔
